Rauw Alejandro might become the latest reggaetonero to jump on the corridos tumbados train. Today (July 7), the Puerto Rican superstar revealed that Mexican singer Junior H will feature on his upcoming album Playa Saturno.

Junior H is one of the leading voices in the corridos tumbados movement. He’s become one of the most-streamed artists in the genre alongside his Rancho Humilde labelmate Natanael Cano. Last month, Junior H featured on two songs on Peso Pluma’s Génesis album, including the hit “Luna.” Cano also teamed up with Junior H on the song “Eres” from his Nata Montana album. Now, Rauw Alejandro is the latest collab on his discography.

On Playa Saturno, Rauw is joining forces with a few reggaeton icons. Ivy Queen will feature on the song “Celebrando,” and duo Jowell y Randy will join him on “Ponte Nasty.” There are also a few surprising collaborations. Spanish pop star Miguel Bosé might be doing some perreo with Rauw Alejandro on the song “Si Te Pegas.” But the collaboration that perhaps excites people the most is Junior H on “Picardía.”

Rauw Alejandro and Junior H’s fans are surprised but here for the reggaetonero potentially dabbling in regional Mexican music. “hold up junior h is on rauw’s album?? all my favs recognizing each other,” wrote one fan on Twitter. “no mames I already want to listen to the song that Rauw will release with Junior H,” wrote another person in Spanish. Another fan said in Spanish that they didn’t know they needed this collab until they announced it.

Rauw Alejandro’s Playa Saturno album will be released tomorrow, July 7. The LP also includes Ñejo & Dalmata on the song “No Me La Molestes.” His recent hit single “Baby Hello” with Bizarrap is also on the tracklist.

Last November, Rauw released his album Saturno. That included his hits like “Lokera” with Lyanno and Brray and “Punto 40” featuring Baby Rasta. Earlier this year, he dropped the RR EP with his finceé Rosalía.
