It looks like there’s going to be more to that RBD comeback than anticipated. This week, group member Anahí opened up about the Mexican band getting back together.

In a podcast interview, Anahí spoke about something big happening with the band on Oct. 4, which is World RBD Day. “I don’t know if it will be a concert, a conversation, or dancing, but it would be the first time in 11, almost 12 years, that there’s a possibility of something that we all want to do,” she said.

RBD split up after performing one last concert in Madrid on Dec. 21, 2008. “The fans deserve this because we’ve never had a final goodbye,” Anahí said. “That part has stayed a bit inconclusive and all these years they have continued to give us their support in everything we’ve done in our own separate careers.”

RBD broke the Latinx internet when all of the band’s studio albums were released to digital streaming platforms for the first time. What was thought to be just a digital legacy campaign for the disbanded group might lead to something more. As RBD previously sang on one of their hits, “Aún hay algo.” Stay tuned.
