Residente is putting on concerts around the globe this fall. Today (March 13), the Puerto Rican icon, with the help of his son Milo, announced the dates for his 2024 Las Letras Ya No Importan Tour.

In the heartwarming video announcement, Milo helps his father clear his mind and convinces him to tour again. The tour will kick off on Sept. 14 in Barcelona, Spain. There are only two U.S. dates on the tour. He will perform at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sept. 18 and at the YouTube Theater in L.A. on Sept. 20. The tour will also visit Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, and other Latin American countries. He will perform his last show at home in Puerto Rico on Dec. 7.

Las Letras Ya No Importan is Residente’s second solo album in seven years. Last month, he released the LP with songs like “This Is Not America” featuring Ibeyi and “Quiero Ser Baladista” with Ricky Martin. Other standout collaborations on the album included Penélope Cruz and Sílvia Pérez Cruz on “313,” Busta Rhymes on “Cerebro,” and Palestinian singer Amal Murkus on “Bajo Los Escombros.” Residente also produced and co-directed the cinematic music videos for this project.

Music isn’t the only mark Residente will make this year. Residente will make his acting debut in the movie In the Summers. In January, the film was screened at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize for dramatic features. His co-stars include Sasha Calle, Leslie Grace, and Emma Ramos.

Pre-sale tickets for the Las Letras Ya No Importan Tour will be available tomorrow, March 14, at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets for the general public will go on sale this Friday, March 15, at 10 a.m. local time.
