Update 4/2/2019 10 a.m.: At 9 p.m. on Monday, Romeo Santos shared an Instagram video with his followers confirming that the Aventura single was an April Fool’s prank.
Today, Romeo Santos woke up and decided he wanted to raise his fans’ heart rates. On Instagram, the bachata titan posted the album artwork for what appears to be a new Aventura single titled “Inmortal.” The cover of the single features a butt-naked photo of Romeo himself, which sounds about right for bachata’s most hopeless romantic.
In the caption of the photo, the frontman wrote, “New Aventura single tonight at 9 p.m. EST #Utopia.” Just five days ago, Santos revealed he’d be dropping a new full-length project titled Utopia this year, and this seems to be the latest teaser of that release.
The hype around the post is unstoppable, to say the least. Fans are thrilled, while many others are speculating that Romeo is pulling a prank for April Fool’s Day.
Aventura released their final album The Last in 2009 and announced their breakup in 2011, but reunited for a run of concerts at New York’s United Palace Theater in February 2016. This single would be their first in 10 years.
