Shakira brought down the house at the 2025 Grammy Awards. The Colombian superstar performed a medley of her hits and also won a Grammy that she dedicated to immigrants in the U.S. Shakira had mini-reunions with Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez at the event as well.

Shakira was nominated for Best Latin Pop Album. Her LP Las Mujeres Ya No Llloran emerged victorious in a category that included Kali Uchis’ Orquídeas, Anitta’s Funk Generation, and Luis Fonsi’s El Viaje. When Shakira accepted the award, she briefly reunited with Jennifer Lopez, with whom she had shared the Super Bowl halftime stage five years ago. During her speech, Shakira spoke up for immigrants in the U.S. in light of President Donald Trump’s mass deportations and his recent spat with Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro.

“I want to dedicate this award to all my immigrant brothers and sisters in this country,” Shakira said. “You’re loved, you’re worth it, and I will always fight with you.”

Shakira also gave a shoutout to her children and the women providing for their families, which she called “She Wolves.” Gloria Estefan presented her high-energy performance. The singer first dialed it back to 1998 to perform a trap-infused version of her “Ojos Así,” which included her signature belly dancing. She then moved into the crowd while performing “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53” and had a long-awaited reunion with Beyoncé. Shakira hugged her “Beautiful Liar” collaborator, who was dancing in her seat. After nearly two decades of absence from the Grammy Awards, Shakira owned the stage with a nostalgic and commanding performance.

This win marks Shakira’s fourth Grammy award of her career. Fresh off the release of a reimagined Estoy Aquí remix with Brazilian producer Papatinho, she’s now gearing up for her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, which kicks off on Feb. 11 in Río de Janeiro, Brazil.
