On Tuesday afternoon, Peruvian authorities announced the capture of a suspect in the Karol G and Anuel AA hotel room robbery. Pedro Ricardo Rodríguez Torres was apprehended by national police in Lima, as he allegedly tried to make his way back to his home country, Venezuela.
As reported on Tuesday, authorities in Chile were on the lookout for people they say used cloned key cards to break into and rob Karol G and Anuel AA’s hotel suite. While nobody was hurt, the “Secreto” singers reported to have lost over $250,000.00 worth of belongings, which included bags, jewelry, and even cash.
And while the chatter online surrounding the robbery was mostly supportive, some took this as an opportunity to criticize Anuel AA for his perceived online bragging – most notably, Latin trap pioneer Bryant Myers, who took to his Instagram to ridicule the “Real Hasta La Muerte” rapper.
“My people in Chile are out here. Even in Chile, they don’t like you. It’s good this happened to you, so you’ll stop fronting on your fans [,] asshole.”
Even though Myers makes a point that many others have made about AA’s seemingly-perpetual gloating, wishing a past collaborator harm is never a good look. Hopefully whatever beef they have brewing gets squashed soon.
