A new music festival celebrating Mexican artists is touching down in the U.S. Today (Aug. 13), the lineup was announced for the Alebrije Music Fest 2024, featuring artists like Xavi, Gabito Ballesteros, Santa Fe Klan, Panteón Rococó, and more. The Alebrije Music Fest will take place in McAllen, TX, on Oct. 19.

As the name of the festival suggests, it will also celebrate the culture around Día de Muertos. The line-up features Mexican artists in música mexicana, rock, hip-hop, alternative music, and more.

The Pink Stage will be headlined by Mexican-American superstar Xavi. He had a breakthrough year thanks to hits like “La Diabla,” which peaked at No. 1 on Spotify’s Global chart, and “La Víctima.” More of his Gen-Z peers in that genre will also hit the stage, like Gabito Ballesteros, Peso Pluma’s cousin and co-writer Tito Doble P, and Jasiel Nuñez. Tony Aguirre and electro-corrido duo Los Esquivel will perform as well.

The Blue Stage is a mix of other genres. Mexican rapper Santa Fe Klan is headlining that stage alongside many rock and alternative acts, including Panteón Rococó, Inspector, and Plastilina Mosh. The line-up is rounded out by Siddhartha, openly queer singer Bruses, and Argentina’s Enanitos Verdes. The Orange Stage features more traditional música mexicana acts, headlined by La Adictiva. The lineup there also includes Régulo Caro, Jennifer Peña, Secretto Costumbre, and Madeleyn Ainley.

Tickets for the festival can be purchased at the event’s official website. An early bird presale will be available starting Friday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m. CDT. The festival will take place at the McAllen Convention Center’s grounds.

This marks the first festival that Xavi headlines in the U.S. Over the weekend, he performed at the 2024 Baja Beach Fest in Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico. Xavi was also a part of the Sueños Music Festival in Chicago, IL, this year.
