This Latino Duo Turned the Viral ‘Montoya, Por Favor’ into a Dembow Banger

A viral moment from the Spanish reality series Temptation Island is getting the remix treatment. Rising duo Anthony Ready y Yeigo recently turned the “Montoya” emotional meltdown into a dembow banger.
José Carlos Montoya is a contestant on La Isla de las Tentaciones, Spain’s version of Temptation Island, where couples put their relationship to the test by living separately with other singles. At the same time, they can see what each other is up to. This past week, said contestant went viral across social media after having a breakdown from seeing his partner Anita Williams sleeping with another man. He broke the rules by running to Williams’ side of the island to stop the intimate encounter from happening. The show’s host Sandra Barneda ran after him on the shore and screamed the viral, “¡Montoya, por favor!” It’s important to note that Williams claimed that Montoya was the “first one to mess things up” before her moment of infidelity.
Now, Anthony Ready y Yeigo, who hail from the Dominican Republic and Venezuela respectively, have turned Montoya’s moment of anguish into an unexpected banger. The duo first teased the dembow remix in a video on TikTok, which has gotten over 258,000 likes as of press time. In addition to Montoya and Barneda’s pleas from the TV show, Anthony Ready y Yeigo and their collaborator Victor R Swag added new verses. The full version of their song “Montoya” was released to YouTube today (Feb. 10). The cover art features a Lego version of Montoya tearing open his shirt like he did on Temptation Island.
Season eight of La Isla de las Tentaciones with Montoya and his partner Williams is currently airing on Telecinco in Spain. Netflix recently announced that the American version of the series will return on March 12, with Mark L. Walberg serving as the host.
