For their homecoming show in New York City last night (May 23), Aventura brought out a very special guest. Romeo Santos and his bandmates performed one of their classics with Judy Santos.

If you’re a longtime fan of Aventura, you’ve likely heard Judy’s multiple collaborations with them. She first worked with the top-selling bachata group on their breakthrough hit, 2002’s “Obsesión.” That duet with Romeo on the We Broke the Rules album sky-rocketed Aventura into fame. On 2003’s Love & Hate LP, Aventura tapped Judy again for the song “La Guerra.” They later collaborated for a third time on the song “Angelito” from the 2005 album God’s Project.

The members of Aventura are from the Bronx, and Judy was born in Sleepy Hollow, New York. Last night, Romeo and his bandmates returned home to New York City. As part of their Cerrando Ciclos Tour, they performed at the iconic Madison Square Garden. To make the moment even more special, the guys reunited with Judy during the sold-out concert. She performed “Obsesión” with them like the old days. The crowd went wild when the four members playfully grinded on her. Judy appeared to have a blast with Aventura during her surprise appearance.

Back in February, Romeo revealed that he had reunited with Aventura for the Cerrando Ciclos Tour. Earlier this month, Aventura kicked off the U.S. leg of the tour at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, CA. The final concert in the States will take place on Jun. 21 in Dallas, TX. On Aug. 15, Aventura will embark on the Latin America leg of the tour. The guys will first perform concerts in cities across Mexico and then visit countries like Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile. In November, they will also visit Venezuela, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
