Jowell y Randy gave their fans a special Christmas surprise over the weekend in Puerto Rico. Bad Bunny was unwrapped as one of the Puerto Rican duo’s special guests during their series of 3D concerts over the weekend. Other artists who joined Jowell y Randy onstage included Young Miko, Arcángel, Dei V, and more.
To celebrate 24 years as one of reggaeton’s most iconic duos, Jowell y Randy performed six sold-out concerts throughout December at El Coliseo in San Juan. The series of shows was named 3D because of the special effects technology they used to bring their classics to life. One of Jowell y Randy’s biggest special guests was Bad Bunny. The Puerto Rican superstar busted out of a Christmas gift box with a bottle in his hand. He joined the “B de Bellako Remix” singers, who were both dressed like Santa Claus, in singing their global hit “Safaera” together. Benito also drank from the bottle with them and poured alcohol into their mouths.
Jowell y Randy also brought out Young Miko as a special guest. The Puerto Rican rapper, who released her debut album att. earlier this year, performed her freaky collaboration “ID” with them. Young Miko was also perreando with the duo onstage when they sang their Tainy-produced collaboration “Colmillo” live together. Other special guests from Jowell y Randy’s six concerts included Arcángel, Zion, Dei V, Miky Woodz, and Tito “El Bambino.”
Last month, the duo were nominated for their very first Latin Grammy award. Though they didn’t take the golden gramophone home, Jowell y Randy thanked their fans for all the support during their last concert on Dec. 21. “Six nominations for the Billboard Awards, one nomination for the Latin Grammys and we didn’t win anything, but for us the best award is to fill the ‘Choliseo’ with all of you,” Jowell said. “We are tearing up the stage. Thank you for your love and being part of this.”
