Bad Bunny is thinking about his ex on New Year’s Eve. This morning (Dec. 31), the Puerto Rican superstar released the nostalgic music video for “PIToRRO DE COCO.” The song previews his upcoming album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.
Earlier this month, Bad Bunny kicked off the next era in his career with “EL CLúB.” In that song, he started talking about missing his ex. From the candid lyrics, Bad Bunny’s fans were wondering if he was referring to his past partner, Gabriela Berlingeri. With his follow-up single “PIToRRO DE COCO,” he continues to sing about missing his ex over the holidays. Reflecting on spending time with her over New Year’s Eve, people now think Benito could be singing about Kendall Jenner. They reportedly rang in the New Year together in Barbados this year. He opened up about the song in a message to his fans on Instagram.
“Guys, I want to tell you something before the year ends,” he says in a voice note. “From the bottom of my heart ‘PIToRRO DE COCO’ is one of the dopest songs I’ve ever made in my life, and if you don’t agree with me, we can throw hands easily.”
The music video for “PIToRRO DE COCO” might give more insight into the person behind Bad Bunny’s songs. He is shown celebrating New Year’s Eve in Puerto Rico. His new album is turning out to be another love letter to the music from his island. Benito has mixed in elements of traditional Puerto Rican genres like bomba and plena into his singles so far. Above his head is a sign reading: “I’ll wait for you here, Boricua.” Since Berlingeri is Puerto Rican, that could be his way of clarifying which ex he is singing about.

Bad Bunny’s DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS album will be released on Sunday, Jan. 5. On X, he has teased that the LP will include 17 songs. Right before Christmas, Bad Bunny appeared at concerts by Feid and Jowell y Randy with a bottle of alcohol in his hands.
