Kenia Os is celebrating her birthday early with a special gift to her fans. Last night (July 6), the Mexican pop star released the music video for her latest hit, “Año Sabático.”
Kenia Os will turn 24 on July 15. Her fans, the Keninis, have already gifted her with another smash hit. Her song “Año Sabático” has amassed over 20 million streams and 195,000 video creations on TikTok. The lyric video surpassed nine million views on YouTube. And now, there’s an official music video for the feel-good anthem.
“Año Sabático” is the newest single from Kenia Os’ second album K23. Following heartbreak, she sings about taking a year off from romance like a vacation. The music video for the sunny song was directed by Flakka, where we see the songstress enjoying a bit of self-care at the kaleidoscopic Nido de Quetzalcóatl in Mexico. The stunning video does a great job of capturing the colorful spirit of the song.
The Keninis are raving about Kenia’s video for “Año Sabático.” In addition to showing their love, a few of her fans have already created some fun memes. One meme shows her in her bright orange bodysuit alongside the Teletubbies. “The video for año sabático is one of my favorites, what a production and Kenia Os looks great, simply art,” one person wrote on Twitter in Spanish. “How majestic the video for año sabático is, the colors and everything expresses visually how it feels to listen to the song,” wrote another fan.
The biggest hit from K23 is “Malas Decisiones.” Back in February, Kenia Os released the music video for that song. On YouTube, that video has amassed over 73 million views. At this month’s Premios Juventud, she is nominated for five awards. Her nominations include New Generation – Female Artist, I Want More, and Best Fandom for the Keninis.
