Kenia Os is entering her reggaeton mexa era. Last night (May 30), the Mexican pop star released her new EP Flow Mamita Rica, with features from rising artists Yeri Mua and El Malilla.

Reggaeton mexa is the name of the new wave of reggaeton music coming from Mexico. In February, Remezcla highlighted Yeri Mua and El Malilla as reggaeton mexa acts to watch out for. Kenia Os first started dabbling in the movement last month with her latest album Pink Aura. The LP included her recent hits “Kitty” featuring Argentine artist La Joaqui and “Mamita Rica” with Yeri Mua and Ghetto Kids. Both songs were also included on the Flow Mamita Rica EP. Yeri Mua and Ghetto Kids appear with Kenia in the fierce music video for “Mamita Rica.”

“I’ve admired her for years,” Yeri Mua shared in a statement. “I think her presence stands out. We need more women in reggaeton, and she brings something cuter, more sensual, and very… how can I say it? Very her, very Pink Aura.”

The sole new song on the Flow Mamita Rica EP is “Un Bezito.” Kenia Os teamed up with reggaeton mexa heartthrob El Malilla for the sexy collaboration. Backed by classic reggaeton beats, Kenia and El Malilla trade steamy verses about perreando on the dance floor. The songstress turns up the heat with this risque reggaeton romp, and gets cozy with El Malilla in the music video.

“I know many were surprised by the explicit lyrics, but personally, I am very happy to be able to create a 100 percent national genre like reggaeton mexa,” Kenia shared in a statement. “I love how reggaeton mexa brings me into its universe and, above all, makes me feel comfortable.”

In November, Kenia Os will kick off the U.S. leg of her Pink Aura Tour. Throughout that month, she will perform in concerts in New York, NY; Rosemont, IL; Grand Prairie, TXl; and Los Angeles, CA.
