Shakira celebrated Valentine’s Day yesterday (Feb. 14) by singing along to one of SZA’s hits. The Colombian superstar posted a video where she sang about “killing her ex” with SZA’s song “Kill Bill.”

Shakira celebrated her first Valentine’s Day since breaking up with Gerard Piqué in an interesting way. The former soccer star reportedly cheated on Shakira with his current girlfriend Clara Chia Martí, which led to their split. On Instagram, Shakira posted a video where she was lip-synching to SZA’s “Kill Bill” from her SOS album.

In the video, Shakira is seen pretending to mop the rug in her kitchen. As she’s pushing the mop, she sings, “I might kill my ex / Not the best idea / His new girlfriend’s next / How did I get here?” Shakira lets out a laugh when she sings the rest of the song’s chorus, which includes the lyrics: “I might kill my ex / I still love him though / Rather be in jail than alone.”

Many of Shakira’s fans thought that Shakira singing along to “Kill Bill” could be a playful Valentine’s Day jab at Piqué. “Not Shakira dedicating SZA’s kill bill to Piqué,” one fan wrote on Twitter. Another fan suggested that Shakira should feature on a remix of SZA’s hit. “Hear me out, Shakira on the Kill Bill remix,” they wrote with a pair of eyeball emojis.

Someone who was a big fan of Shakira’s video was SZA herself. While reposting the video to her Instagram stories, she expressed her admiration for Shakira. “Not you cleaning the murder scene,” SZA wrote with a laughing emoji. “I LOVE YOU SHAKIRAAAA.”

While fans are holding out hope for a “Kill Bill” remix in the future, Shakira actually has a lot of new music on the way. She will be featured on Karol G’s song “TQG,” which will be included in her upcoming album Mañana Será Bonito. Shakira’s next single seems to be “Copa Vacía,” featuring Colombian singer Manuel Turizo.
