Alleh y Yorghaki are taking over with their viral hit “capaz (merengueton).” On the heels of their breakout song, the Venezuelan duo has also racked up two Latin Grammy nominations. Ahead of the U.S. leg of their “La Ciudad World Tour,” Alleh y Yorghaki caught up with Remezcla at Premios Juventud (Sept. 25) in Panama about the success of their global smash and their chemistry.
“It’s a song that changed our lives,” Alleh says. “It’s an exploration of our curiosity and creativity that has helped us do everything that we’re doing now,” Yorghaki adds.
The duo includes singer Alleh and producer Yorghaki, who both hail from Valencia, Venezuela. The two creatives teamed up for their album La Ciudad, which was released last December. The LP includes Alleh y Yorghaki’s viral hits “capaz (merengueton)” and “la culpa (track 11).” The former song is especially popular on TikTok, with over 109,000 video creations. “It’s a sound that more people should use [on social media],” Alleh says with a smile. “capaz (merengueton)” is also closing in on the top 100 of Spotify’s Global songs chart.
“We share an incredible chemistry,” Alleh says. “When there’s a strong connection between the singer and the producer in the studio and you channel that energy into your songs, it’s magical. That’s difficult to find. It’s a thing of destiny, and we’re where we are now thanks to that [chemistry].” Yorghaki adds, “We’re a force.”

Yorghaki revealed that he and Alleh wrote the intro and chorus to “capaz (merengueton)” back in December 2023. They revisited the song months later with fellow Venezuelan hit-maker Manuel Lara, who helped them complete the feel-good banger. The song is nominated for Best Urban/Urban Fusion Performance at 2025 Latin Grammy Awards, which will take place on Nov. 13. Alleh also earned a nomination for Best New Artist.
Now Alleh y Yorghaki are getting ready to bring their “La Ciudad World Tour “to the U.S. next month. The stateside leg kicks off on Oct. 9 in Hollywood, FL. The duo will also make stops in Boston, MA; Orlando, FL; Los Angeles, CA; Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; and New York, NY.
