Yahritza y Su Esencia is hitting the road this summer. Today (June 13), the Mexican-American group announced the dates for their Obsessed Tour.
A year ago, Yahritza Martinez made history as the youngest Latine artist to appear on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. That happened when Yahrtiza y Su Esencia’s debut single “Soy El Único” debuted at No. 20 on the chart. Since then, the trio of siblings from Yakima, WA, have been on the rise. The band recently scored another major hit with the song “Frágil” featuring Tejano band Grupo Frontera.
Yahritza y Su Esencia will be performing in concerts across the west coast. The Obsessed Tour is named after the group’s debut EP of the same name. The tour will kick off in Seattle, WA, on Aug. 15. Throughout the rest of the month, Yahritza and her brothers will be performing in Portland and then cities throughout California. The tour will also visit Phoenix and Dallas.
“THE FIRST SHOWS OF THE OBSESSED TOUR 2023 ARE HERE!!” Yahritza y Su Esencia wrote on Instagram. “We’ve been anxiously waiting for this moment and we are so excited to finally meet you all!”
Presale tickets for the Obsessed Tour will be released tomorrow at 10 a.m. local time. The presale password is OBSESSED. Tickets for the general public will go on sale on Thursday, June 15. Those tickets will be released that day at 10 a.m. local time.
Last November, Yahritza y Su Esencia received a nomination for Best New Artist at the Latin Grammy Awards. Mexican singer Silvana Estrada and Cuban singer Angela Álvarez ended up winning the award in a tie. Last year, Yahritza y Su Esencia teamed up with another Gen-Z star in regional Mexican music, Ivan Cornejo, for the collaboration “Inseparables.”
