Yeri Mua is putting her disses into music. On Aug. 8, the Mexican influencer and reggaetonera released her newest song “Traka” – and social media users think it’s a tiradera towards her reggaeton mexa colleague Bellakath.

Since earlier this year, Yeri and Bellakath have been throwing shots at each other on social media. The two reggaeton mexa representatives have been indirectly – and sometimes, directly – throwing shade at each other. The petty exchanges have mostly revolved around criticizing each other’s bodies and how they perform on stage, disputing who the real queen of Mexican reggaeton is, etc. In April, one of the most heated interactions involved Bellakath saying that Yeri danced like a “chapulín aplastado.” This led to Yeri responding: “A mi me operaron bien, a ti te operaron mal🫦 y te lo grabas beba ✨ [I had a good operation, you had a bad operation🫦 and remember that, baby.” That same day, Yeri posted part of her newest single’s lyrics, “TRAKAAAA Y USTEDES LLORANDO🤠💋💋💋,” foreshadowing what was to come. However, the two artists ended up apologizing to each other. Bellakath also deleted her messages because they both made fun of each other’s bodies

However, for the last few months, both artists have been stuck in a loop of throwing jabs at each other, talking it out, apologizing publicly, and repeating the cycle. Now, it appears that Yeri reignited that diss in “Traka” by singing, “Me hice el culo, el doctor me lo dejó chido [I had my ass done, the doctor left it great], while the visuals showed her seemingly dressed like Bellakath.

“Traka” isn’t just about Bellakath, though. In a recent social media video, the Veracruz native said that the diss track isn’t dedicated to only one person. “Es como una manera de decir, ay, aqui no te metas que yo tambien soy p*rra [It’s like a way of saying, oh, don’t get involved here, I’m a b*tch too],” she said. She also reiterated that it’s a response to all her haters, not only to “la gatita que le gusta el mambo,” a reference to Bellakath’s breakout single.

Needless to say, the new song is stirring up conversation online. Social media users are talking about bad surgeries in general. “I hope you never lose someone to bad surgeries. It is a serious issue and not a mockery… But the issue of surgeries is not to be mocked,” an X user wrote in Spanish.

Other social media users think Bellakath’s reference was comical.

On the other hand, Bellakath recently dropped a new collaboration with Andres Castillo, El Malilla, La Dinastia, El Bogueto, and Riky Produce called “Vaquero – Remix” (Aug. 8). She was also the only woman artist featured in Fuerza Regida’s newest album.
