Becky G was the extra special guest on RuPaul’s Drag Race on Friday evening (Jan. 12). The Mexican-American pop star had a blast seeing one of her hits performed in a lip-sync. Becky G also shared wise advice with the drag queens.

Part two of the season 16 premiere aired on Friday. Seven new drag queens sashayed into the Werk Room to compete for the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar.” This second group included Geneva Karr, the first Mexican-born queen to compete in the main series, and Nuyorican queen Megami. As they got ready for the talent show challenge, Becky G joined them in the Werk Room. Geneva Karr playfully sang some of her hit “Mayores” with her. Becky G also shared some helpful notes with the queens.

“I think [representation] looks different for everyone,” she said. “No one else can do what you do. Seeing you guys take these opportunities, take this stage, and represent yourselves and something that is even sometimes bigger than you, that representation is really important. That’s what I’m looking for tonight.”

Geneva Karr proudly represented her Mexican heritage with her talent show performance. She opened her set by dancing a bit of baile folklórico before performing her original song “¡La Diva Más Latina!” Becky G was a big fan of her performance. “I might have to fight you for the crown of La Diva Más Latina,” she joked. “I could not be any more proud.”

Genera Karr placed in the top two this week with Plane Jane. Both queens lip-synced for the challenge win to Becky G’s 2014 hit “Shower.” Plane Jane emerged victorious in the lip-sync, but Becky G loved both of their performances overall. “Best moment of my life omggg,” she later wrote in a post on X.

RuPaul’s Drag Race airs on Friday nights on MTV. Next week, the two groups of drag queens will meet for the first time.
