Shakira shined at the 2024 Copa América final on Sunday (July 14) night. The Colombian pop icon delivered a hits-filled set for the tournament’s first ever halftime show.

Back in May, Shakira announced that her song “Puntería” would serve as the official anthem for Univision’s coverage of the Copa América. Earlier this month, she revealed that she would perform at the Copa América final halftime show. Colombia and Argentina’s national fútbol teams are currently battling it out for 2024 CONMEBOL Copa América trophy.

Shakira promptly took over the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, FL at halftime. Legendary boxing announcer Michael Buffer introduced her performance. With 3D-mapping technology, a giant digital wolf howled before Shakira took the stage. She opened her set with “Hips Don’t Lie.”

After howling herself, she yelled out in Spanish, “I love you, Colombia!” She then performed “Te Felicito” and “TQG” without Karol G, who sang Colombia’s national anthem earlier in the night. Shakira rounded out her short and sweet set with “Puntería.”

Shakira gave a preview of her upcoming Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. The U.S. leg of the tour will kick off on Nov. 2 at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, CA. Back in March, she dropped her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran album, which included her global hit “BZRP Music Sessions #53” with Bizarrap.
