Bad Bunny is officially set to hit the big screen next spring. Bullet Train, directed by David Leitch, has reportedly been confirmed for release on April 8, 2022, according to Deadline.
The movie features five assassins on one train with one goal and conflicting motives. As for his role, “It’s about a boy who lost his family at a very young age,” Bad Bunny said earlier this year. “He dedicated his life to the streets, to be a murderer. So, an aggressive guy who has suffered a lot,” he continued. The film also stars Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt. Working with Pitt is still unbelievable to the Puerto Rican Rapper, “I was back there on the set, and [said], ‘This can’t be true.’”
This project comes in the middle of a busy first half of 2022 for Bad Bunny. His El Último Tour del Mundo tour kicks off in February. The tour is so highly anticipated that presale tickets sold out in seconds with record-breaking ticket prices. The tour opens in February and ends (coincidently) in April.
Bad Bunny has already had a packed 2021. Just last week he released a new song called “Yonaguni.” The accompanying music video already has over 80 million views on YouTube. He has appeared on the season four premiere of LeBron James’s HBO Show The Shop: Uninterrupted, and has also performed in the ring on WWE, and been named a co-owner of a basketball team based in Puerto Rico called Los Cangrejeros de Santurce.
Even though Bad Bunny has accomplished a great deal, he remains humble. The Grammy winner recently swapped his four million dollar Bugatti out for some budget wheels. “I ride a 2003 Corolla and I’m happy out there walking,” he told Explica.co. The rapper admits he has never been into cars and appreciates the anonymity the vehicle gives him. “Now I have it in the United States, here [in PR] I could not have it for another minute because they knew it was me.”
Whether it’s his fans on the island of Puerto Rico who spot him in his car, see him on tour, or catch him in a theater next April there is little doubt Bad Bunny will be anonymous anywhere on the planet after 2022.
