Amidst the news of her ex-partner Christian Nodal getting married, Cazzu has reemerged and she’s singing again. The Argentine superstar was recently spotted belting out a poignant Selena Quintanilla classic.
Towards the end of the last decade, Cazzu helped usher in the Latine trap wave that took over Argentina. In her recent collaborations like “Tú y Tú” with Los Ángeles Azules and Santa Fe Klan, she has proven that her success isn’t limited to one genre. Cazzu made global headlines in May when announcing that she and Nodal had broken up. The split was surprising given that she gave birth to their daughter Inti last September.
Following their breakup, Nodal moved on quickly by announcing his relationship with Ángela Aguilar in June. Last week, Nodal and Aguilar revealed that they got married in Morelos, Mexico. Cazzu will make her first public appearance since Nodal’s marriage on the program ¡FA! by Argentine artist Méx Urtizberea. In a preview of her upcoming appearance, she is singing along to Quintanilla’s heartbreaking song “Como La Flor.”
Many of Cazzu’s fans praised her heartfelt performance of “Como La Flor.” With crying and heart emojis, one person on X wrote, “Cazzu singing a song by Selena.” Another person wrote, “I saw the video of Cazzu singing Selena’s song and it messed up my mind. She was a strong, indestructible woman, but of course she is human and she is a mother.”
The full episode of ¡FA! with Cazzu will be released to Urtizberea’s YouTube channel on Aug. 18. There’s no word yet if her appearance will be more than the clip of her singing along to Quintanilla’s classic hit. When Inti’s parents initially opened up about their breakup, they wished each other well, and Cazzu said that she would focus on taking care of their daughter.
