New Shakira music is coming soon! This morning (Sept. 17), the Colombian pop icon confirmed her next single will be “Soltera.”

Speculation about new Shakira music started running high over the weekend. On Saturday night, she was spotted filming a music video at LIV Nightclub in Miami, FL. Now, Shakira confirmed that she was recording a scene for her upcoming “Soltera” music video. Mexican pop star Danna and Brazilian singer Anitta were also seen filming with the Colombian hitmaker. According to the statement from Shakira’s team, it appears that both artists will only make a cameo in the music video along with Lele Pons and Winnie Harlow.

Following breakup anthems like “TQG” with Karol G and Bizarrap’s “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53,” Shakira will continue to celebrate the single life in “Soltera.” While she was recording the music video, she also shared a preview of the reggaeton song with the clubgoers at LIV. “I went out to clear my head and I’m tired of being turned off,” she can be heard singing in Spanish. Shakira also sings, “I have the right to behave badly / To have a good time / I’m on the loose and now I can do whatever I want.” There’s no word yet on when to expect the release of “Soltera.”

Moreover, the 2024 Latin Grammy nominations were also announced today, and Shakira received three nominations. She is up for Album of the Year for Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, Song of the Year for “(Entre Paréntesis)” featuring Grupo Frontera, and Best Latin Electronic Music Performance for the Tiësto remix of “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53.”

On Nov. 2, Shakira will kick off her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, CA. She will also perform at the Besame Mucho Festival in Los Angeles, CA, on Dec. 21.
