Christian Nodal has received his fair share of tattoos. Now, the Mexican singer is rethinking the ones he got inked on his face over the last year and a half.
During an interview with Lo Sé Todo Colombia, Nodal said the reason that he wants to remove his face tattoos is that he is expecting his first child with Argentine singer and trap queen Cazzu. “I want my daughter to recognize my face,” Nodal said, seemingly confirming the gender of his child. “I want her to see my face without [the tattoos].”
Tattoos, however, are still going to be a big part of Nodal’s life. He also told the outlet that he was “going to open a tattoo shop in Los Angeles very soon.”
Nodal started getting face tattoos after his very public breakup with then-fiancée Belinda early last year. One of the face tattoos he received was inspired by an indigenous group known as Comcaac from the Mexican state of Sonora and included a set of six red, inverted triangles across the bridge of his nose.
Last summer, there were rumors that Nodal had removed all his face tattoos when he posted a video of himself with a tattoo-less face. It turned out to be an old video.
We’re not sure if Nodal has ever removed a tattoo before, but he’s definitely altered a few. He famously covered up a massive tattoo on his chest featuring Belinda’s eyes and changed some others honoring his ex.
We’re guessing the chances are high that Christian Nodal will get a tattoo to mark the birth of his daughter. At least we now know where that tattoo won’t go.
