Has ‘My Life with the Walter Boys’ Been Renewed for Season 3?

My Life With the Walter Boys Season 2 just premiered on Netflix. And with the young adult drama, starring Latina Nikki Rodriguez, having ended the season on yet another cliffhanger, the question on everyone’s minds is: Will there be a Season 3? And if so, how much will we have to wait for it?
And the answer to the question is yes, My Life With the Walter Boys will indeed be returning for Season 3. Netflix renewed the show for a third season long before the second season even aired, back in May. Filming for the third season is already underway and is expected to run until December.
Even better, the showrunner is already looking forward to a possible Season 4. While talking to Swoon, showrunner Melanie Halsall said, “I’m fascinated by these characters and these stories in this world, and I would love to keep telling these stories for as long as people keep watching them, would like to keep watching them. So you never know. We might be seeing our characters get older and older as we go ahead, but I would love to keep telling these stories.”
The show is an adaptation of the Ali Novak book of the same name. It follows Jackie Howard, who, after losing her family to a terrible accident, moves to rural Colorado to live with her mother’s friend, Katherine. All good so far, except that her mother’s friend already has kids. Eight of them, seven of them boys. If you think that means that, on top of having to deal with a new school and new friends, Jackie ends up in the middle of a love triangle between two of the Walter boys, you’d be exactly right.
There was no clear choice between Team Cole and Team Alex in Season 1, and though Season 2 ended with Jackie presumably choosing Cole, a medical emergency interrupted the confrontation between the brothers and Jackie. What will happen in Season 3? Hopefully, we won’t have to wait that long to find out.
