J Balvin Is Getting His Own Docuseries — Here’s What We Know

J Balvin is adding something new to his growing resume: docuseries host. Today (October 10), the Colombian superstar revealed the trailer for A Great Day With J Balvin. The guests on his Peacock show will include Xolo Maridueña, Demi Lovato, Anitta, and more.
After scoring hits like “Mi Gente” and “I Like It” with Cardi B and Bad Bunny, J Balvin took a break from the spotlight following the birth of his son Río in late 2021. In addition to being with his family, he also used that time-off to focus on his mental health. In April, he made his comeback at the Coachella music festival, which included a surprise appearance from Will Smith. He marked his return to music in August with his latest album Rayo.
Now J Balvin is expanding his empire with a docuseries where he serves as a host and executive producer.
“Whatever comes my way, I make it a great day,” he says in the trailer. “Join me on this journey. We’re not what we have. We are what we are.”
A Great Day With J Balvin will include six episodes in which he learns about what self-care means to his different celebrity guests. In the trailer, he can be seen breaking car windows with Lovato, dancing to Brazilian zouk with Anitta, and going vinyl record shopping with Maridueña.
“It’s okay not to be okay,” he says to Lovato during their car-smashing session. He also tries meditation with Saweetie, cooking with Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, and plays dominoes with Jimmy Butler. Butler is noticeably wearing a Colombian sombrero vueltiao with J Balvin.
J Balvin’s docuseries will start streaming on Peacock on Thursday, October 17. On November 7, he will perform his latest hits on Amazon Music Live, which will stream on Prime Video and Amazon’s Twitch channel that evening.
