The competition is getting serious on La Casa de los Famosos México. In a shocking elimination last night (Aug. 17), the biggest star on the cast was evicted from the house.
The third season of La Casa de los Famosos México started airing on July 27. Of the 15 person cast, the most famous celebrity was Mexican singer and actress Ninel Conde. She is most known for playing Alma Rey in the telenovela Rebelde and for her hit song “El Bombón Asesino.” Karol G even enlisted Conde to appear in her Tropicoqueta album teaser.
In the house, Conde was a part of Team Día. She clashed with Olivia Collins, who was the first person to be evicted. Conde later butted heads with Team Noche’s Mar Contreras and Alexis Ayala. The housemates’ votes led to Conde, Contreras, Ayala, Luis “Guana” Rodríguez, Facundo Gómez, and Mariana Botas being put up for eviction. Elaine Haro stole the save this week from Aldo de Nigris and removed Botas from the chopping block.
On social media, Conde’s team posted a video with RBD star Anahí that encouraged the Mexican public to vote for her. Guana was worried about getting eliminated because he said he felt like a mueble, or a piece of furniture that wasn’t creating any exciting moments in the house. Surprisingly, he was the first one announced as safe last night.

Then, Gómez and Ayala were also announced as safe. It came down to Conde and Contreras, who both sat in the carousel. Once the carousel stopped spinning, one would return to the house and the other would be evicted. When the door to the studio opened, Conde emerged and became the third person eliminated from the competition.
Ninel Conde joins Collins and Adrián Di Monte as the evictees so far. The 12 remaining housemates are competing for a cash prize, which is reportedly worth four million pesos. In Mexico, the show is airing on Las Estrellas and streaming on the ViX app.
