A new group of queens have emerged to snatch the crown for the 18th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. There’s a chance a Latina could become “America’s Next Drag Superstar” with these three queens in the mix.
RuPaul’s Drag Race will return in the new year next month. The cast includes 14 queens who are vying for the crown and a cash prize of $200,000. As of right now, three queens on the cast are confirmed to be Latinas. The main series of RuPaul’s Drag Race hasn’t had a Latina winner since Violet Chachki on season seven in 2015. The following queens could finally change that.
In her Instagram bio, Briar Blush calls herself “Boston’s Pin-up Princess” and “Latina” surrounded by rose emojis. Through her drag, she mixes glam with an edgy aesthetic. Briar Blush is named after the thorns on a rose, so she will definitely stand up for herself if provoked.

DD Fuego is the second queen born in Mexico to compete on the main series of RuPaul’s Drag Race following Geneva Karr on season 16. She was born in Monterrey, but now lives in New York City. DD Fuego has a background in theater and television as a former production designer, so she knows how to light up a stage.

Juicy Love Dion describes herself as “Miami’s Afro-Cuban dancing doll.” She is also the drag daughter of season 16 standout Morphine Love Dion. Just like Morphine, Juicy Love Dion can turn the party onstage with her powerful presence and choreography. She will compete against her drag grandmother Athena Dion, who is also on the season 18 cast.

The rest of the cast includes Ciara Myst, Darlene Mitchell, Discord Addams, Jane Don’t, and Kenya Pleaser. The group is rounded out by Mandy Mango, Mia Starr, Myki Meeks, Nini Coco, and Vita VonTesse Starr. The new season will start airing on MTV on Friday, January 2 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
