If he wasn’t such a talent in the music industry, recording artist Maluma would still get plenty of attention for his fashion sensibility. The “Cada quien” singer is known for his dynamic style – whether it’s on the red carpet at an award show or other event or dressing up for one of his music videos.

Last summer, British GQ magazine said that “in addition to Maluma’s musical domination, he has also become a fashion industry favorite.” The superstar has hung out with other celebrities at high-end fashion shows like world-renowned soccer player David Beckham and reality star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian.

Maluma has also collaborated with several brands throughout his career, including Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, Balmain, Adidas, Quay, and Versace, which he recently became the new face of the brand’s men’s line. In fact, Versace was behind one of Maluma’s most interesting looks in the past few years – his outfit for the 2021 Met Gala, which Entertainment Tonight said gave off “vampire cowboy vibes.”

“My style is always evolving,” he told British GQ. “If you look back over the years, you can see that. And it will continue to evolve. I don’t want to become complacent with it. I want to always have fun with what I’m wearing, and there will always be an essence of me that shines through, but it will always look a little different.”

There’s even an Instagram page that keeps up with a lot of the clothing that Maluma wears, and lets his fans know how they can dress like him.

Here’s a look at a few of our favorite Maluma fashion statements over the years.

1

Lobster Coat

This Louis Vuitton sheepskin winter coat from its Fall/Winter 2021 menswear collection would make Maluma camouflage in the fluffy, white snow, but at least he’ll stay warm. Plus, the lobster-shaped collar that wraps around his neck looks like it’s super cuddly. The coat was designed by the late Virgil Abloh.

2

2019 Met Gala Tux

Maluma stood out from the crowd on the pink carpet at the Met Gala three years ago when he wore a tan tuxedo with rhinestones by Moschino designer Jeremy Scott. At that Met Gala, he was seated at the same table as Oscar nominee Salma Hayek.

3

Maluma x Madonna

In the third act of the music video for “Medellín,” the first single from Madonna’s 14th studio album Madame X, Maluma dons a reddish suit with shiny lapels. With Madonna dressed in a white gown and cowboy hat at the end of the video, Slant.com called the scene something akin to a “carnivalesque wedding.”

4

Extra, Extra

This off-white outfit designed by Christian Dior is a unique look for Maluma, especially when he ties the entire piece together with his bleached hair. If we can get close enough, we might be able to read some of the newspaper articles that look like they are embossed on the part of the satchel he’s carrying. Also, does he plan on going skiing with those sunglasses?

Ridin’ in Style

Leave it to Maluma to make a fashion statement even when he’s driving around in a bright yellow sports car. This time, he’s dressed comfortably in a classic denim trucker jacket from Calvin Klein, a crewneck sweater, straight jeans, and rubber boots. And let’s not forget the shades. We’re wondering if he has anyone riding shotgun with him. If not, we’re available!
