Who’s ready to ring in Pisces season? Frequently described as imaginative, empathetic, and romantic, we’re continuing our monthly listicle with the first Water sign of the year – Pisces, which runs from Feb. 19 to Mar. 20. The Fishes sign is part of the watery clique with Cancer and Scorpio.

There are many famous Latine Pisces – including Bad Bunny, undoubtedly one of the biggest mainstream pop icons we’ve seen in the last decade. Based on his thoughtful album rollouts, emotional lyrics, and empathy towards his Puerto Rican community, the superstar checks out all the common traits our Pisces friends share. He even reminded us of his sun sign’s tendency to fall in love easily in “Aguacero.” But there are more popular boricua artists we’re celebrating this month. We’re also toasting Puerto Rican icon Ivy Queen, a fierce and empathetic feminist whose birthday lands on Mar. 4.

Besides our aforementioned favorites, more artists who are blowing out candles this month include Mexican-American songstress Becky G, New York City-based Puerto Rican duo Nina Sky, and Dominican rapper and singer Tokischa, who have all given us creative and sensual bangers throughout the years. We also have heart-on-their-sleeve emotional hitmakers like London-based Colombian-Cuban singer Sophie Castillo and Mexican-American sierreño singer DannyLux, both known to be romantics, a trait often used when describing this Water sign.

What else do we adore about Pisces? Their music brings out our sentimental side but also takes us straight to the dancefloor. From Bad Bunny’s heartfelt song “TURiSTA” to Tokischa’s pop reggaeton banger “SOL,” here are seven songs to celebrate our favorite Pisces on their birthday month.

And for any Pisces reading this: Happy birthday!

Bad Bunny - “TURiSTA”

Born on Mar. 10, 1994, Benito is one of the “most Pisces” Pisces in mainstream radio. As previously mentioned, he tends to give us imagination, empathy, and romantic lyrics via albums and projects. His most recent music video and single “TURiSTA,” explores post-breakup sentiments with lyrics like, “En mi vida fuiste turista / Tú solo viste lo mejor de mí y no lo que yo sufría,” comparing a past lover to a “tourist” after the relationship is over. Moreover, his latest album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS shows his creativity by meshing reggaeton and dembow music with traditional Puerto Rican music. Case in point: we’re always looking forward to what his mind takes him to next.

Becky G - “GOMEZX4”

Born on March 2, 1997, Becky G poured her heart into her two last música mexicana albums ESQUINAS (2023) and ENCUENTROS (2024). Both albums showed how sentimental this Pisces could be, all while injecting nostalgia into her songs. A solid reference? “GOMEZX4” which is an emotional ode to her siblings. Moreover, during this música mexicana era, she was also imaginative with her album rollout by using street vendors to help promote her LP and, at the same time, give back to her local community. Besides music, the Mexican-American singer is also thriving in fashion collaborations. She recently dropped her active lifestyle collab with Fabletics.  And how can we forget about her makeup line Treslúce Beauty? Multitasking queen!

Nina Sky - “Move Ya Body”

Puerto Rican twins Nina Sky are living proof that it only takes one hit to cement your musical legacy – and they did it before viral TikToks were a thing. With the catchy earworm “Move Ya Body” (released in 2004), the duo continues to thrive in the music realm, bridging the world of reggaeton, pop, and dance. “It is cool to see just how the power of music and how great music transcends time, and we feel very blessed to have contributed to that,” they said about the song’s success in a previous conversation with Remezcla. Last year, they kicked off their Y2QUÉ party series, which was designed to commemorate the most popular sounds of the turn of the millennium.

Residente, Silvia Pérez Cruz, Penélope Cruz - “313”

Born on February 23, 1978, Residente is another Pisces to celebrate this month. Known for his empowering songs, thoughtful lyrics, and unapologetic point-of-views, the Calle 13 icon is one of the most famous Pisces rappers in our Latine community. A trait that shines in this Pisces is his imagination, which is prominent in this cinematic music video for “313.” In the past, he’s also let his creativity soar in other music videos like “Ron En El Piso,” where he features an AI-generated version of a younger René Pérez Joglar. Whether it’s showcasing his art in his rap verses or on the big screen, Residente is an artist worth celebrating all month long.

Sophie Castillo - “Ojos Lindos”

Castillo translates her romance and sensuality into music. “Ojos Lindos” is a bachata-inspired track that oozes passion with hypnotizing lyrics like, “Esos ojos, como me miran / Te juro que son una delicia / Esos ojos como me excitan / No se puede negar.” And it’s not by accident. Castillo’s music has been previously described as “ethereal siren core,” which she agrees with. “I’ve always been a bit of a dreamer, being a Pisces and all, so that ethereal siren vibe has been my thing for as long as I can remember,” she said. Other entrancing hits include “Call Me By Your Name” and “When The Sun Goes Down.”

DannyLux - “Ya No Estás”

DannyLux is one of the most popular and emo sierreño songwriters out there. And yes, he’s a certified Pisces who is celebrating his birthday on Mar. 12. In songs like “Ya No Estás,” he croons about being misunderstood. With lyrics like, “Tal vez es necesario que sienta tanto daño / Este frío en el alma y el duro desengaño / Nunca pude expresarlo, por eso escribo y lo canto,” he puts his feelings in paper, like many Pisces we know. Other heartfelt singles that he’s known for include “CORAZÓN FRÍO” with Jasiel Nuñez, “Amor” with Alta Elegancia, and “SI SUPIERAS” with Eslabon Armado.

Tokischa - “SOL”

Besides perreo and explicit lyrics, Tokischa also makes songs with empowering messages. In the recent reggaeton pop and dance track “SOL,” the Dominican rapper and singer delivers an uplifting message about the sun coming out after dark times. This also marked her first single via her own record label with the same name. “We are thrilled to launch SOL, a label that will be a home for misunderstood artists,” Angelica Piche, the record label’s co-founder in charge of the label’s development, said in a press statement. “It’s very important for us to give a voice and a space to people who, like us, started from scratch.” Launching a record label meant for misunderstood artists? Sounds like an empathetic Pisces to us!
