In a vault somewhere, there’s a song with J Balvin, Drake, and Romeo Santos on it. In a recent interview, the Colombian superstar opened up about collaborations he recorded that hadn’t seen the light of day.

While promoting his new album Rayo, J Balvin has done a few interviews. In an interview with Los40 Colombia, he was asked about any collaborations he’s recorded that were never released. J Balvin opened up about his collaboration with Canadian rapper Drake and bachata king Romeo Santos called “Pistol In My Head.”

“It didn’t come out [because of] timing,” J Balvin said in Spanish. “The song is una chimba because it’s Drake, Romeo, and J Balvin. I’m going to look for it and see where I have it to show it to you one day. That collaboration hurts me so much because I’m a super fan of Drake. I’m his No. 1 fan.”

In the same interview, J Balvin also opened up another collaboration with Ed Sheeran and Daddy Yankee. Last year, he announced a joint album with Sheeran that was never released. J Balvin also talked about the song possibly getting shelved because of Daddy Yankee dedicating his life to God

“Another [collaboration] that hurts me so much is one I have with Yankee and Ed Sheeran,” he said. “Yankee is clear about being on another path now. I’m not going to bother him, but uf that song goes hard.”

Though those songs didn’t end up coming out, J Balvin recorded many other collaborations for his album Rayo. He reunited with Feid, who started out as one of his co-writers on the Energía album, on the song “Doblexxó.” J Balvin also dabbled in afrobeats in his collaboration “Stoker” with música mexicana star Carin León. Ryan Castro, Blessd, Bad Gyal, Chencho Corleone, Dei V, and Zion also featured on the LP.
