Eslabon Armado has announced an exciting partnership with the NBA and Amazon Music. Today (June 29), the Mexican-American band revealed that they will perform at the first-ever NBA Con next month.
NBA Con will take place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV, from July 7 to 9. Amazon Music curated the live music and artists who will perform at the event during those three days. The line-up for the first-ever NBA Con includes Eslabon Armado, rap icon 2Chainz, rising hip-hop artist BLXST, and indie-pop trio AJR, Armani White, and DJ E Rock. All the music from these artists is said to have inspired NBA basketball.
“More than any other sport, basketball has always gone hand-in-hand with music,” Sean McMullan, director of artist product and services for Amazon Music, said in a statement. “From hyping up players before the game to soundtracking highlight reels, music has always been the fuel for athletes’ ambitions. The inaugural NBA Con will bring fans, artists, and athletes together under one roof to celebrate all facets of hoops culture, and Amazon Music has worked hard with the NBA to curate show-stopping performances and exclusive merchandise for attendees.”
Amazon Music is also sponsoring the NBA Con Store, which will include never-before-seen merch from all 30 NBA basketball teams. At NBA Con, fans will be able to get close to current stars and past icons of the NBA. Legends like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Mike Conley, Tyrese Haliburton, CJ McCollum, Trae Young, Victor Wembanyama, and Scoot Henderson are confirmed to make appearances. July is going to prove to be a busy month for Eslabon Armado. In addition to performing at this Las Vegas event, the group will headline a concert at the Crypto.com Arena on July 15. On July 20, Eslabon Armado will perform “Ella Baila Sola” at the 2023 Premios Juventud.
