Will Pepe Aguilar finally open up about his thoughts on his daughter’s marriage to Christian Nodal? The música mexicana is teasing an upcoming song where he appears to be singing about Ángela Aguilar.
Back in June, Ángela and Nodal stirred up controversy after announcing their relationship a few weeks after the “Botella Tras Botella” singer’s split from Cazzu. A month later, the young couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Cuernavaca, Morelos in Mexico, with Don Pepe present. For the most part, Ángela’s father has remained silent about his daughter’s marriage. There have been a few times when the elder Aguilar has trolled his followers on social media who have asked for his opinion.
On Sept. 20, Pepe started teasing a new song on Instagram. In the first preview, he sings in Spanish, “I’m going to be very clear / Do things right.” With the next lyrics, he appears to be singing to Nodal. “Because for forajidos, mijo, it’s not here / And I know it’s easy to be a cabrón / I was in that situation myself.” Last year, Nodal released two EPs with the Forajido title.
Last night, Don Pepe released a second preview of the song on Instagram. He appears to have more advice for Nodal following his marriage to Ángela. Pepe sings, “Take good care of her / You already fell in love with her / You already took her away / What am I going to do to her?” He also gets vulnerable about the situation when he sings, “She was never mine, but I knew I was going to her.”
According to Pepe’s Instagram posts, the full song will be released on Thursday, Sept. 26. Last month, he was spotted singing his classic “Por Mujeres Como Tú” with his new son in law.
