Peso Pluma & Feid Lead 2024 Latin American Music Awards Nominations

The biggest stars in Latine music will be honored at the 2024 Latin American Music Awards. Today (Mar. 19), the nominations were revealed, with Peso Pluma, Feid, Bad Bunny, Karol G, and Shakira being among the top nominees. This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Mexican pop icon Thalia, Alejandra Espinoza, and Carlos Ponce. 

Every year, the Latin American Music Awards puts a spotlight on the Latine artists making waves. Música mexicana star Peso Pluma and Colombian reggaetonero Feid both received 12 nominations each, tied as this year’s most-nominated artists. Peso Pluma and Feid are competing for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Collaboration of the Year. Peso Pluma is also nominated for New Artist of the Year. 

Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny and Mexican-American band Grupo Frontera follow them with 11 nominations each. Bad Bunny and Grupo Frontera are nominated for Song of the Year and Collaboration of the Year for their global hit “Un x100to.” Bad Bunny’s chart-topping Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana faces competition from Peso Pluma’s Génesis, Feid’s Feliz Cumpleaños Ferxxo Te Pirateamos El Álbum, Grupo Frontera’s El Comienzo, and Karol G’s Mañana Será Bonito in the Album of the Year category.

Speaking of Karol G, she’s tied with fellow Colombian star Shakira as this year’s most-nominated women. They both received nine nominations each. Shakira is nominated twice in the Song of the Year category for “TQG” with Karol G and “BZRP Music Sessions #53” with Bizarrap. They’re followed by Mexican-American groups Eslabon Armado and Fuerza Regida, who received eight nominations each. 

The 2024 Latin American Music Awards will air live from Las Vegas, NV, on Univision on Apr. 25. For the second year in a row, the show will also be available to watch on UNIMÁS, Galavisión, and ViX that same day.
