This Artist Is the Only Latine Performing at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards

Música mexicana will be present at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards. This morning (Dec. 10), Fuerza Regida was added to the performer lineup, including Coldplay, Jelly Roll, Teddy Swims, and Shaboozey.
The Billboard Music Awards honors the biggest artists on the Billboard charts of the past year. Fuerza Regida is one of the most-nominated Latine acts, with four nominations. The Mexican-American band is up for Top Duo/Group against acts like Blink-182, Coldplay, Linkin Park, and Stray Kids. Jesús Ortiz Paz (aka JOP) and his bandmates are also nominated for Top Latin Artist alongside Bad Bunny, Karol G, Junior H, and Peso Pluma. Fuerza Regida is the only Latine act performing at the awards this year. Last week, Xavi teamed up with them for his latest single, “SRT.”
The most-nominated Latine artist this year is Bad Bunny, up for six awards. In addition to Top Latin Artist, he is also nominated for Top Latin Male Artist against Peso Pluma and Junior H, as well as Top Latin Album for Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana. Karol G is the most-nominated Latina, with five nominations. She faces Shakira and Kali Uchis in the Top Latin Female Artist. Her mixtape Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season) is also up for Top Latin Album against releases from Bad Bunny, Fuerza Regida, Grupo Frontera, and Junior H.
The Top Latin Song category includes all of the biggest hits from the past year. Bad Bunny is nominated twice for “Monaco” and “Perro Negro” featuring Feid. His competition includes FloyyMenor and Cris MJ’s global hit “Gata Only,” Karol G and Peso Pluma’s “QLONA,” and Xavi’s breakthrough smash “La Diabla.”
The 2024 Billboard Music Awards will air on Thursday, Dec. 12, on FOX and Fire TV Channels. In addition to Fuerza Regida, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, Tyla, and Megan Moroney are also performing.
