Belinda paid tribute to Taylor Hawkins on Friday night (Feb. 17) during a performance. The Spanish pop star performed a cover of the Foo Fighters classic, “Best of You.”
Belinda was one of the headliners at La Gran Feria de México at Parque Bicentenario. During her set full of her hits, she took a moment to honor Hawkins, who passed away in Mar. 2022. Belinda noted that Hawkins’ 51st birthday would’ve been on the day of her concert.
Belinda’s voice soared as she sang the Foo Fighters’ “Best of You.” The song was released on the band’s fifth album, In Your Honor, in 2005. Hawkins, who was the drummer for the Foo Fighters, co-wrote that song with the band’s lead singer Dave Grohl.

La Gran Feria de México wasn’t the first time Belinda paid tribute to the late drummer. Following Hawkin’s passing in June of last year, she performed “Best of You” at the Machaca Festival in Monterrey.
Late last year, Belinda returned to music, performing on tour throughout Mexico. She also made a splash on a global level as the star of the Netflix series Bienvenidos a Edén, which was also released as Welcome to Eden. Belinda also appeared in the HBO Max series Divina Comida.
Though Belinda has far removed herself from the drama of her breakup with Christian Nodal, the singers were brought back into the headlines recently. Earlier this month, Nodal released the song “Por El Resto De Tu Vida” with Argentine singer Tini. Before their breakup, Belinda had recorded that song as a duet with Nodal. In 2021, Belinda previously collaborated with Tini in Lola Índigo’s hit “La Niña de la Escuela.” Belinda didn’t respond to any controversy from Nodal’s re-recorded duet.
