Two of the top artists in corridos tumbados are joining forces. Last week (Apr. 7), Mexican singer Junior H teamed up with Peso Pluma for his new single “El Tsurito.” Gabito Ballesteros also features in the live music video.
Junior H is one of the leading artists from the corridos tumbados label Rancho Humilde. Since emerging with Natanael Cano in 2019, Junior H has amassed over 19.9 million monthly listeners on Spotify with his sad boy corridos. Peso Pluma recently became the first Mexican artist to cross over 30 million monthly listeners following his string of singles. Now, Junior H and Peso Pluma are teaming up with rising Mexican artist Gabito Ballesteros.
Junior H’s angsty flow collides with Peso Pluma’s Jalisco swagger in “El Tsurito.” Alongside Gabito Ballesteros, the trio of artists trades verses about the highs and lows of living a fast life. Junior H comes through with a fiery corrido tumbado banger with Peso Pluma in the mix.
The music video for “El Tsurito” is taken from a live performance. With a red solo cup in his hand, Junior H parties with Peso Pluma and Gabito Ballesteros as they sing the song together. Expect Peso Pluma to notch another Billboard Hot 100 hit with this collaboration.
Speaking of the Hot 100 chart, Peso Pluma currently has five songs on the all-genre chart. This week, his collaboration with Eslabon Armado, “Ella Baila Sola,” jumped to No. 17 on the chart. Right behind that one is Yvng Lucas’ Peso Puma collaboration “La Bebe” at No. 26.
Becky G recently teamed up with Peso Pluma for her new single “Chanel.” The song is the first taste of her upcoming regional Mexican music album. She also appeared at Peso Pluma’s sold-out concert in Ontario, CA, last week, and there are rumors that they might perform it for the first time together at Coachella this weekend. Junior H will perform at the same venue in California as Natanael Cano on May 6.
