Thalia has joined forces with rising Mexican pop star Kenia Os for her new single, “Para No Verte Más.” In the retro music video released today (March 2), Thalia helps Kenia get over a breakup.

“Para No Verte Más” is the latest single from Thalia’s upcoming project. Last Nov., she returned with her disco-infused single “Psycho Bitch.” Now, Thalia is tackling a classic by the Argentine group La Mosca Tsé Tsé. Kenia joins her for their cover of “Para No Verte Más,” which received the band’s seal of approval.

“For us it’s an honor that Thalia has chosen our global hit ‘Para No Verte Más’ as the first single for her new project,” La Mosca shared in a statement.

Thalia puts a pop spin on La Mosca Tsé Tsé’s ska rock song. Backed by brassy beats, she trades verses with Kenia about how life is too short to be worrying about heartbreak. Both women amplify the feel-good sound of the song with the camaraderie they share. “Para No Verte Más” is re-imagined as a playful girl power anthem by two of Mexico’s brightest stars.

“It brings me joy to be able to bring one of my favorite songs to life, and even more so to be able to revive this classic for new generations at the hand of an artist like Kenia,” Thalia said.

The “Para No Verte Más” music video was directed by Simon Brand and produced by Ntertain Studios. To match the ’90s vibe of the original song, Thalia dials it back to that era with her vintage fashion. Kenia looks just as fierce in her body suit that was fitted with big shoulder pads. Thalia helps Kenia shake the heartache away in their glamorous video.

In her interview with Remezcla last Aug., Kenia talked about her friendship with Thalia. “She’s an incredible person and an inspiration,” she said. “I believe getting to know her helped me so much. She’s a sensible and grateful person to the people who surround her. I already have a special place for her in my life.”
