Karol G is using her platform to give back to children with cancer. The Colombian superstar has released a special Baby Pelón doll through her Con Cora foundation.
In 2022, Karol G launched her Con Cora foundation to give opportunities to Latina women and empower them. Through her foundation, she has performed for women in prison in Colombia and launched an initiative to support migrant mothers in south Florida. The following year, Karol G was honored with the Spirit of Hope Award at the Billboard Latin Music Awards for her humanitarian work. Now she is using her foundation to support children with cancer.
Karol G has teamed up with the Juegaterapia Foundation to release her own Baby Pelón doll. The dolls reflect children that lose their hair while undergoing chemotherapy treatments. Each doll sports a colorful head scarf. Karol G designed a head scarf for her doll that includes the name of her foundation and her initials.
Proceeds from the dolls that are popular in Latin America and Europe go towards improving the quality of life for children in hospitals. That has included creating recreational spaces, emotional support, and alternative therapies for hospitalized children.
There are only 8,000 of the Con Cora variation of the Baby Pelón doll available. You can purchase one directly from the Juegaterapia website here.
Karol G is currently preparing to make history as the first Latina headliner of Coachella next month.
