Rauw Alejandro’s new album is here and loaded with collaborations with other Latine heavy-hitters. Today (Nov. 15), the Puerto Rican superstar released Cosa Nuestra, which features Bad Bunny, Feid, Romeo Santos, Latin Mafia, and more. Pharrell Williams also appears on Alejandro’s star-studded LP.

Cosa Nuestra is Alejandro’s fifth album following last year’s Playa Saturno. After the galactic theme of the Saturno album era, Alejandro is coming back down to earth. He has said the LP marks a return to his Puerto Rican roots. Alejandro has also cited Boricua salseros from the seventies, like Héctor Lavoe, as his inspirations. The album has a tropical vibe in songs like “Committed,” where he seamlessly mixes bachata with R&B. Williams features on the love song where Alejandro sings in Spanish and English about being ready to commit.

There’s also plenty of perreo on the album. Alejandro joins forces with Bad Bunny for the reggaeton romp “Qué Pasaría...” Santos also gets back into the reggaeton groove with the sultry “Khé?” which blends elements of bachata in the mix. Feid brings his Medellín swagger and flow to the explosive “Revolú” with Alejandro. Reggaeton legends Alexis y Fido feature on “Baja Pa’ Aca,” reminiscent of the old-school perreo era.

With rising Mexican stars Latin Mafia, Alejandro embraces quirky and funky pop in the feel-good “2:12 AM.” After delivering a memorable performance of Laura Pausini’s “Se Fue” at last year’s Latin Grammy Awards, he has finally released his song cover. The Italian icon herself is featured in Alejandro’s updated version of the heartbreaking classic.

After Sabrina Carpenter was spotted moving to Alejandro’s performance at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, one of his new songs might be a nod to her hit “Espresso.” He collaborated with Marconi Impara and Yan Block on an alluring track called “Espresso Martini.” The album also includes his previous singles like “Touching the Sky” and “Pasaporte” with Mr. NaisGai.
