There’s new RBD music on the way. On Friday (Aug. 11), a video surfaced of Anahí getting emotional while listening to an upcoming song from the Mexican pop group.

Since RBD’s reunion earlier this year, they’ve only released one new song together—so far. In February, Dulce María’s vocals were added to the song “Siempre He Estado Aquí,” originally released without her in 2020. The song was retitled “S.H.E.A.” Now, it looks like the second new song from this era might soon be coming.

On Friday, Mexican singer and producer León Leiden uploaded a video to his TikTok account featuring Anahí. The video was taken from Christian Chávez’s 40th birthday party, where they were both guests. Leiden played Anahí a snippet of the song “Solo Te Pido,” which he wrote for the band. Tears rolled down Anahí’s face as she listened to her voice on the song. Her husband, former Chiapas governor Manuel Velasco Coello, was also with them.

“I loved it [when I heard it], and I said, ‘I want to do it. We have to do it,’” she said in Spanish. “I’m telling you from the heart, it’s beautiful, and it’s really going to be a hit.”

In April 2022, Leiden started a TikTok campaign to get the song “Solo Te Pido” in front of RBD. He worked on the song with Sofía Reyes. They were both inspired to create the song after seeing RBD come back together for the 2020 livestream concert. At that time, Anahí called the song a “reloaded version of ‘Solo Quédate En Silencio.’” Fast forward a year later, and she has now recorded the song.

There’s no word yet on when “Solo Te Pido” will be released. RBD’s Soy Rebelde Tour kicks off on Aug. 25 at the Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, TX. Earlier this year, Leiden featured on the song “Florecita Rockera” with Thalia and Aterciopelados.
