Tokischa and Arca closed out LGBTQ+ Pride Month in a major way. On Saturday night (June 29) during the LadyLand Festival in New York City, they were joined by surprise guest Madonna.

Back in April, Tokischa and Arca were announced as headliners of the LadyLand Festival. German pop star Kim Petras headlined Friday night, while Tokischa and Arca took over Saturday night. Tokischa’s performance at LadyLand was the penultimate stop of her Nací Perra Pride Tour. During her set, the Dominican superstar performed her latest single, “Sol.” The empowering song is Tokischa’s first release on her own label, Sol Records.

Arca performed and played a DJ set during her headlining slot. Tokischa came out as a special guest during the Venezuelan star’s set and they performed an upcoming collaboration for the first time. The highly-anticipated song is rumored to be named “Me Vengo.” For those fans who waited for Arca and Tokischa to work on music together, seeing them perform was a dream come true.

Arca and Tokischa came out one last time to recreate the “Vogue” ball moment from Madonna’s Celebration Tour. They were joined onstage by Bob the Drag Queen, who was a part of Madonna’s tour, and Tokischa’s recent collaborator Sevdaliza. In a moment that no one expected at the LadyLand Festival, Madonna also came out as a surprise guest. Madonna, Tokischa, Arca, Bob the Drag Queen, and Sevdaliza sat together as they rated the people coming down the runway.

“Thank you,” Madonna said at the end of her appearance. “I just want to say thank you all for coming out. Aside from my birthday, New York Pride is the most important day of the year. Thank you to all the houses who came to dance for us and perform. But most of all, thank you to my incredible judges.”
