The first round of performers has been announced for the 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards. Rising Mexican-American singer Xavi, Fuerza Regida, Yandel, Maria Becerra, and more will hit the stage next month.
The Billboard Latin Music Awards will take place on Sunday, Oct. 20. The event will celebrate the biggest Latine artists and songs of the year in 49 different categories. Following his breakthrough with hits like “La Diabla” and “La Víctima,” Xavi will perform for the first time on a major televised award show. He received seven nominations this year, including New Artist of the Year, Global 200 Latin Artist of the Year, and Songwriter of the Year. “La Diabla” is also up for Hot Latin Song of the Year.
Another música mexicana act that will perform at the awards is Fuerza Regida. The Mexican-American group received eight nominations this year, including Artist of the Year and Hot Latin Song of the Year, Vocal Event for “Harley Quinn” featuring Marshmello. Fuerza Regida’s LP Pa Las Baby’s y Belikeada is up for Top Latin Album of the Year. There’s a chance that the band could perform some jersey corridos from their latest album Pero No Te Enamores.
Yandel will also perform at the awards. The reggaeton pioneer is up for Latin Rhythm Artist of the Year, Duo or Group award alongside Wisin. Following his Manifesting 20-05 EP with Feid, the two collaborated last week on the song “Háblame Claro.” Grupo Niche will celebrate the band’s 40th anniversary with a special performance. Another Colombian act that will hit the stage is música popular star Luis Alfonso. Argentine singer Maria Becerra, who recently collaborated with Paris Hilton, rounds out the line-up of performers so far.
The Billboard Latin Music Awards will air live on Telemundo. The ceremony will also be streamed live from Miami, FL, on the Telemundo App and Peacock.
