The nominations for the 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards were revealed today (Sept. 12), with Karol G leading the pack. Other top nominees include Bad Bunny, Peso Pluma, Fuerza Regida, Feid, and more.
Billboard will celebrate the top Latine artists and songs of the year across 49 different categories. Following the global success of her Mañana Será Bonito album and tour, Karol G is the most-nominated artist this year. The Colombian superstar received 17 nominations, including for Artist of the Year, Tour of the Year, and Top Latin Album of the Year. Six of her nominations are thanks to the hit “Qlona” with Peso Pluma, which is up for Hot Latin Song of the Year and Global 200 Latin Song of the Year.
Speaking of Peso Pluma, he tied with Bad Bunny with 15 nominations each. In addition to his nominations for “Qlona,” the Mexican singer is also up for Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Regional Mexican Album of the Year for Éxodo. Bad Bunny’s nominations include Artist of the Year, Global 200 Artist of the Year, and Tour of the Year. Five of his nominations of the Puerto Rican star’s nominations are for his collaboration “Perro Negro” with Feid, who received 11 nominations overall.
Moreover, Fuerza Regida and Junior H tied with eight nominations each. Rising música mexicana star Xavi followed with seven nominations, including for New Artist of the Year and Hot Latin Song of the Year for “La Diabla.” Other top nominees include Grupo Frontera, Myke Towers, Shakira, Kali Uchis, Rauw Alejandro, and Young Miko. Chilean singers FloyyMenor and Cris MJ, who scored a global hit with “Gata Only,” also received multiple nominations.
The 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards will air live on Telemundo on Sunday, Oct. 20. The ceremony will also be streamed live from Miami, FL on the Telemundo App and Peacock.
