These Latina Queens Are Competing in First-Ever ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars’

RuPaul’s Drag Race will truly be the Olympics of drag this August. Today (July 15), the cast was revealed for the first ever Global All Stars spin-off, including fan-favorites from Drag Race México and Drag Race Brasil.
For the first time in Drag Race Herstory, RuPaul is bringing together 12 drag queens from different franchises around the world for Global All Stars. The winning queen will be crowned “Queen of the Mothertucking World” and receive a cash prize of $200,000. The champion’s photo will also be placed in the international pavilion in the Drag Race Hall of Fame.
“The world is not ready for RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars,” RuPaul shared in a statement. “Twelve queens representing their home countries raises the stakes to a whole new level. Plus, the international mix of charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent will, pardon my French, blow your f***ing minds.”
Two Latina queens will compete on RuPaul’s Drag Global All Stars.

Gala Varo from Morelia, Michoacán will represent Drag Race México. Last year, she competed in the first season and finished as one of the runners-up. During her run on the show, she won one Maxi Challenge. Gala Varo’s drag daughter Horacio Potasio is currently competing on season two.
Miranda Lebrão hails from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Last year, she competed on the first season of Drag Race Brasil. Miranda Lebrão finished as one of the runner-ups. She won one Maxi Challenge during her time on the show.

Alyssa Edwards will represent the main U.S. franchise on the cast. Other competitors include Belgium’s Athena Likis, Philippines’ Eva Le Queen, Australia’s Queen Kong, and Italy’s Nehellenia. The cast is rounded out by the U.K.’s Kitty Scott-Claus, Canada’s Pythia, France’s Soa de Muse, Switzerland’s Tessa Testicle, and Sweden’s Vanity Vain.
The first two episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Global All Stars will stream on Paramount+ on August 16. You can watch the full “Meet the Queens” video below.
