We will be seeing America Ferrera on stage at the Oscars, one way or another. The actress, who is nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role as Gloria in Barbie has been announced as one of the presenters in the 2024 Oscars ceremony. Anya Taylor-Joy was also announced in the last round of presenters.

Ferrera and Taylor-Joy join other Latine presenters announced like music superstar Bad Bunny, EGOT winner Rita Moreno, and Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o. Likewise, singer Becky G is set to perform the song “The Fire Inside,” written by Diane Warren, which is nominated for Best Original Song.

There are also more nominations from our communities outside of Ferrera. Colman Domingo is nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in the biopic Rustin. This is the first nomination for both Ferrera and Domingo.

David Hinojosa, who is of Puerto Rican and Mexican descent, is nominated for his work as a producer in Past Lives. This is also Hinojosa’s first nomination. Mexican cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto is nominated for Best Cinematography for his work on Killers of the Flower Moon.

Cuban-American producer Phil Lord is nominated for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in the Best Animated Feature Film Category. Society of the Snow, a breakaway hit for Netflix with a latine cast, is nominated for Best International Film and Best Makeup and Styling. Meanwhile, Chile’s The Eternal Memory is nominated for Best Documentary Feature Film.

Other non-Latine presenters include Chris Hemsworth, Emily Blunt, Charlize Theron, Ryan Gosling, and Steven Spielberg.

The Oscars ceremony will take place on March 10th and will air on ABC at 7 PM ET/4 PM PT.
